Just a few steps from the Spanish Steps on elegant via Borgogna, defined by the Los Angeles Times as the ultimate fashion street, the Café Romano is the Hotel d’Inghilterra’s exclusive restaurant, one of the most famous of the capital’s temples to fine food in the centre of the city. The clientele of this great restaurant includes the Roman elite and international visitors, people who select it for its metropolitan chic. They go there to enjoy a champagne breakfast, a snack while shopping, a lunch with friends or a romantic candlelight dinner with a loved one. Chef Antonio Vitale’s culinary creativity was honed working at several Michelin star restaurants and he has taken the cuisine of Rome to heart, revisiting it with his own innate sense of delight. His creations are served with elegance and enthusiasm by the finely trained staff of Restaurant Manager Marco Lo Verso, who is an AIS Sommelier and will assist you in the ideal choice of wines for the evening.
The menus of the Café Romano are carefully crafted and include the “Chef’s daily
special”, a weekly menu, a light lunch menu, a carefully composed evening menu
and a special tasting menu.
The restaurant is open from 7 am to midnight, the sign of a truly cosmopolitan
eatery, and welcomes its guests in a dining room decorated with art ranging from
the 1800s to today. The outdoor eating area is right on via Borgogna, just around
the corner from the city’s most elegant boutiques.
