Palazzo Gori, the grand building that houses the Grand Hotel Continental, was
built at the behest of Pope Alexander VII, of the influential Chigi family, in
the 1700s. Today, some four hundred years later, you can still enjoy the same
exclusive atmosphere when you stay in one of our Royal Double guest rooms. They
are spacious rooms beautifully decorated with elegant antiques that blend harmoniously
with the precious fabrics and their refined decorative motifs. The sense of peace
that these spaces imbue you with are in perfect harmony with the stunning Sienese
panorama you can enjoy from your large windows that overlook the heart of the
medieval city and the softly rolling surrounding hillsides and valleys.
Our Royal Double guest rooms measure 37m² and all have a double bed or twin beds,
precious fabrics and frescoed ceilings as well as travertine and marble bathrooms.
Each room is also equipped with Wi-Fi, PayTV, air conditioning, a mini bar and
a safe for your valuables.
