The Grand Hotel Continental is in the historic centre of Siena.
From Florence, leave motorway A1 at the Firenze Certosa exit, follow directions
for Siena. At Siena Ovest-Porta San Marco junction, turn right towards Siena,
at the roundabout follow signs to Centro/Stadio. Continue along Strada di Pescaia
until the traffic light; turn right. At the top of the hill turn left, at the
next junction turn right and follow the main road, still following signs to Centro/Stadio.
From the end of the avenue (stadium entrance on the left, Church of San Domenico
on the right), continue along the main road for 400m, turn sharp right (signed
to Grand Hotel Continental) to enter Piazza Matteotti, with a roundabout. Continue
towards the main street (access only for authorised persons including hotel guests)
until Piazza Salimbene (with a statue in the centre), where you can leave your
car while you load and unload your luggage; the hotel is a few meters ahead on
the right.
